For those especially rare and brutal hailstorms and the panels are damaged, there is no need to worry. Since the solar array is a fixture of the home, it is covered under the home insurance policy covering the home. The homeowner simply needs to file a claim and the panels will be replaced under the terms of the insurance policy.
