You will see this type of equipment on an exterior wall of your home, like the picture below shows. Or the electrical meter may be on the exterior wall of your home, while the AC disconnect switch and inverter/DC disconnect will be located on the inside of your garage.
The box on the left is your electrical meter, the box in the middle is the AC disconnect switch, and the box on the right is the SolarEdge inverter with the DC disconnect. You will only work with your AC disconnect switch and your SolarEdge inverter/DC disconnect; you do not need to do anything with your electrical meter.
In order to turn your system on follow these 3 easy steps:
- Move the lever on the AC disconnect box to the "ON" position
- Turn the black dial/DC disconnect on the Solar Edge inverter to the "ON" position.
- On the SolarEdge inverter, turn the red (or black) toggle switch onto the ‘ON’ position. This switch is located either above the black dial/DC disconnector or on the left side in the back of your inverter.
